Motion review and manager follow-up

Choose a starting image whose pose matches the opening action. A stationary hold should start with planted feet, rather than a walking pose. Cinema prompt packets now include this guidance. This is a planning instruction, not an automatic visual guarantee.

video cinema-review accepts --motion-review <json-path> alongside the existing four review lanes and authority evidence. The JSON contains method (sampled-frames or full-playback) and exactly six checks: starting-pose, identity, subject-motion, camera-stability, framing, and audio. Each check has a criterion, verdict (pass, fail, or unreviewed) and evidence-based reason. Attach the inspected frame/contact-sheet/playback records using the existing lane evidence flags; these remain byte-hashed with the review.

A motion review cannot pass unless all six criteria pass with full playback. Sampled frames cannot certify audio. The CLI returns nextSteps for failed and unreviewed criteria; the external manager decides the next bounded task and records evidence. Suggestions never submit provider jobs or authorise spending. Existing reviews without motion checks retain their previous four-lane contract; this extension is opt-in, not a retroactive approval audit. Once a candidate has a motion review, later reviews cannot omit it. Promotion also checks the history, so an older record without motion checks cannot erase that requirement.

For a correction, identify one variable, preserve the source/model/seed where practical, and state any other changes. After repeated failures, isolate the smallest unresolved behaviour rather than repeating stronger prompt wording. Keep camera stability separate from subject motion: a planted character can still have a drifting camera.

The September Maya benchmark used three six-second Veo Fast clips. Sampled standing behaviour improved after both the source pose and prompt changed; camera drift persisted. This is one observation, not proof of model reliability. Frame sampling leaves fine identity, complete motion and audio review incomplete. Test completion must not be shown as clip approval.

The saved benchmark verification script re-hashes the three real videos, validates their structured observations using the production module, confirms that partial evidence cannot pass, and writes the progress-page result table. It makes no provider calls. Synthetic CLI fixtures separately verify persistence, authority, rejection and promotion behaviour without pretending those benchmark jobs entered the Cinema queue.

The authenticated live console offers the same six checks, defaulting to not reviewed. Its endpoint validates and preserves them; review history shows each verdict, observation and suggested next step.

Interrupted clients may replay an identical immutable review even after a later motion review or promotion. VideoClaw rechecks the record and evidence and returns already-reviewed; it does not make the older decision current again. A changed replay remains an immutable-record error, and a new review still has to retain established motion checks.
